He is also an award winning magician who had won several awards from the Singapore Magic Circle and International Brotherhood of Magicians as well as competed in International magic competitions in Japan.

Alexander says:

“I love magic; magic has the unique effect of eliciting amazement that no other art forms can replicate. To me, magic is an experience, a rare experience that I wish to share with the people around me. The experience of magic breaks down cognitive layers of reasoning leaving no other (logical) explanation, when done right, the emotion elicited is amazement, when done wrongly, it becomes frustration. I strive to create this special feeling of amazement to all audience in my magic.

In my course in Psychology at National University of Singapore, I found that the feeling of amazement can bring about enduring proximal and distal benefits to people. Hence I believe that magic is an art form like no other.

I currently hold a BA (Hons) in Psychology, and my area of interest is in emotions, specifically amazement as well as its effects to prosocial behaviours”
